Abstract
My view of coaching changed dramatically 6 years ago when I participated in 10 months
of intensive study to become a certified executive coach. I decided on formal training
to deepen my career-long focus on leadership development in health care. Since that
experience, I have had the privilege of teaching coaching skills and delivering coaching
services to many nurse leaders, their teams, and other health care professionals throughout
the country.
