The first symptoms were my harried expression and inability to focus. Then came the insomnia and frequent sinus infections. During those months, I felt overwhelmed by my job and could not meet my family's needs. For the first time in my career, nothing seemed to come together. I did not have the personnel to delegate to nor the operational systems or administrative supports to draw upon. I just kept plodding along, covering the high points, and hoping that I didn't make a big mistake.
